Increased Adult Dental Medicaid Provider Rates

The Legislature reached an agreement on the $59 billion operating budget for the 2021-23 biennium which includes increased provider reimbursement rates for the adult dental Medicaid program.

Over the weekend, the Legislature reached an agreement on the $59 billion operating budget for the 2021-23 biennium, which included the approximately $76 million ($21.4 million state) investment to increase access to care through increased provider reimbursement rates for the adult dental Medicaid program.

Rate increases will become effective July 1, 2021, and the Washington State Health Care Authority may increase fee-for-service rates up to 100 percent above the rates in effect on January 1, 2019. WSDA will alert members once we have more specific information regarding implementation.
